On Tuesday 18th June we hosted a visit to Kirkton & Auchtertyre farms by a Debbie Crofts, mature student of Agriculture at Myerscough College in Lancashire. She had received a Travel Scholarship Bursary sponsored by the Lancaster & Morecambe Agricultural Show. She was particularly interested in the future sustainability of sheep hill farms as well as improving health and welfare to increase productivity. Her tutor (Anya Westland) suggested there were a number of very interesting initiatives and developments in Scotland and that visiting certain key farms/research centres could help her future studies
